Don't waste your time looking elsewhere

DO NOT BUY! I repeat, DO NOT BUY this piece from SH#T! This is not the same as the original that came with your vacuum cleaner! This isn't a real hairbrush, it's the usual "plastic crap" you can buy in the store for 99 cents! Don't waste time and look elsewhere! I will get mine back as soon as I finish this review!

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

After 3 years of heavy use, the bristles on my Miele C1 Olympus vacuum's original dust brush were crumpled and looked like they could handle the glass tables in my house scratch. The natural brush 07132710 looks synthetic to me, but the bristles are finer and softer than my original brush head. This brush works great on glass tables and offers better sweeping with less pressure than the previous part.

Poor quality replacement

The original brush had twice the bristles and was made of soft horsehair. This cheap brush has a thin ring of synthetic bristles. There are so few bristles that they fold at the slightest pressure and the inner plastic body comes into contact with the items to be cleaned. Not suitable for cleaning delicate items. Miele was once a respected German company but like many others have moved production to China and that's what you get - cheap chinese junk! I sent it back and invested the money in a…

Natural bristles - attachments and brushes

The brush that came with my Miele Compact C2 Electro+ had plastic bristles which curled and crumpled after a year or two of light use and the position lock didn't snap into place . . This new brush with a light gray ring has natural bristles and a locking system in two positions - straight or at a 90 degree angle. It holds easily in any other intermediate position, but is firmly fixed in two given positions. It is also a pressure fit and can be rotated on the end of the hose. I've only had it…

It sucks but not in a good way

Wow, this brush is just awful. I'm not talking about natural or synthetic fibers. Don't bother. It's so lame and not enough. The original brush that came with my vacuum, which I love, was strong with very thick bristles. However, this replacement is not that reliable. The bristles are thin and not very numerous. So if you apply even a little pressure, rub the hard plastic inner ring more gently against the wood or delicate item you want to clean. . I'll give it 3 more uses before it wears out…

Based on the reviews I thought it might not work.

We lost our Miele brush head somewhere in the house and I decided I couldn't wait any longer and needed to find a replacement. I was a little disheartened to read several reviews here about Miele discontinuing the natural bristle brush and people complaining that the new brush has bristles that are too stiff to gently clean surfaces. Needless to say the replacement bristles appear to be synthetic but I think they are soft enough not to scratch which suits me. One thing I like about this…

Good enough but not as good as the original

We have a 20 year old Miele Alu and a small Miele vacuum cleaner. Great great vacuums and no breakage other than cords that needed replacing. This dusting brush has far fewer bristles and isn't as deep. If you use it to vacuum something fragile like a lampshade, it's against the plastic case. This is because the bristles are thinner and not as densely packed. So you risk damaging or marking something fragile. The thin bristles also make it difficult to use the brush as a brush - which means…

DO NOT BUY! This brush has been modified. It's terrible! EPIC FAILURE.

First of all, it's not the seller's fault. Miele has changed this brush from a very soft natural horsehair duster to a brush with polyamide bristles. Unfortunately, these fibers are not soft at all. They are tough and very abrasive and can damage your stuff, especially if you have art and antiques. This brush is different day and night than the horsehair brush which used to be SSP 10. I contacted Miele to see if I received the wrong brush but they claim it is the correct brush. They sent me a…
