It would be perfect in every way if the manufacturer offered a choice of lids with a straw. That would change everything for us! If not a straw, then at least a mouthpiece that flips open to drink from. Drinking from it takes some practice. If you pour even a little more than you need, your drink will go everywhere. Definitely not something I will be sending our daughter to school with. Still, I'm not entirely disappointed that I bought it. Our girl had so much fun decorating that I even joined in! This is a well insulated bottle and appears to be of good quality. If the lid had been different I would have given it a higher rating. Also, many gemstone sticks have detached from the plastic without the sticky part attached. They stick to the plastic and are almost impossible to remove. Overall I would recommend it as a DIY project but not for everyday use. Your kid(s) will love decorating this!
