I bought this beast of a handheld multimeter to help me with a job where PCB/circuit design is my job. I can say without a doubt that it is better than the Fluke 115. We also have a 115 at work but I was never very interested in this model and it lacks many of the features that the BM786 has. If the 115 wasn't a Fluke brand gauge, it would cost $50 or less (it's $170 instead). Literally everything about this gauge is better than the Fluke 115, from its 60,000 RMS accuracy to its ability to read micrometric data. Amps, that's just an amazing $175 multimeter. I was shocked to learn that this meter had a higher RMS reading than my $270 desktop Tenma 72-1020! If you need the features of this BM786 in a Fluke brand test tool, you're going to lose $500-$1000. The accuracy and stability of the readings are top notch, the screen is very legible, the piezo display is quite loud (probably too loud), it feels good in the hand and should take a lot of abuse, it has the ability to store readings, it warns you if you connect the wrong terminals for counter mode, it has a well-designed battery compartment. And I could go on and on After a few weeks of use I am absolutely thrilled! Thank you for developing such an awesome multimeter EEV blog!
