My mare has a terrible problem with sweating and because of her sensitive skin her fly repellant burns her skin. I needed something that would protect her from shoulder scratches but still be light enough not to make her sweat even more. It's been 85-90 degrees in West Central Florida since I bought it a few weeks ago and it has really protected her skin. The area below him was healing well. It is very durable.
