Prior to trying barefoot style shoes, I was suffering from right foot and ankle pain, as well as chronic low back pain. I was working as an ER nurse, on my feet for 12+ hours a day. There was an adjustment period of about one week to get used to the new barefoot style where I was a little uncomfortable by the end of the day. In less than a month my foot and ankle pain as well as my chronic low back pain had completely resolved. I’m sold and never going back to conventional shoes. I’m now working as a nurse practitioner and I tell anyone and everyone to make the switch to barefoot!
