Initially this product worked well, it cut the cable and derailleur cable housing. After the first cut, the product continued to cut the cable well, but began to crush the metal part inside the case. This destruction progressed with each cut as I finally replaced the brake cables as well. It got to the point where I couldn't find the hole on the cut end of the housing and I had to resort to a hacksaw to finish the brake cables. I would recommend spending more money on a better quality cable cutter (Park's tool is used by my local bike shop) which will save you time and wasted materials.
