Good value for money for Shop Tools

Perfectly cuts brake and shift cables. As with any cutter, the hulls are a toss up, but they ran pretty well. Can't beat the value here.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

but I would happily spend a little more for a better pair.

They work. They cut the cables cleanly but smashed the ends of the cases. I won't be returning them but would happily spend a little more for a better pair.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Available in black only

Durable for cycling

Works great. I took the star off because the spring that opens the handle seems a bit cheap, but even if it breaks they will still do their job. They cut and even crimped my bike cable the first time!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Nothing

It's like a tool that gets the job done

It's like a tool that gets the job done. The construction is solid and the lock feels solid. Deals with brake cables and housings quickly with clean cuts. Although it has a red handle, it feels right at home in my mostly blue bike tool box.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Easily wrinkled

Works great for shop tools

Great value for a wire cutter. I could no longer handle my crappy wire cutters and needed an inexpensive wire cutter because I am building another bike for my son to mountain bike with me. They not only cut brake and shift cables very well, they also cut cable housing. I'm glad I found her and I recommend her.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Medium

Durable tool. in cycling

I've needed one of these for a long time and due to the price and reviews I decided to use it. Good, solid tool with strong, sharp jaws. I have been very happy with simple and clean cuts on bike cables. Deforms the cable jacket a little more than I was hoping, but it's easy enough to change and they work a lot better than wire cutters ever did.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Zero

Worse in use - Sport

Initially this product worked well, it cut the cable and derailleur cable housing. After the first cut, the product continued to cut the cable well, but began to crush the metal part inside the case. This destruction progressed with each cut as I finally replaced the brake cables as well. It got to the point where I couldn't find the hole on the cut end of the housing and I had to resort to a hacksaw to finish the brake cables. I would recommend spending more money on a better quality cable…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Replacement available
