Six lamps on 8 foot path Too much light or path not long enough. If it was 12 feet or more it would work. It will not "bend". You can make small bends, but it doesn't twist at different angles. When the caterpillar bends, it creates a "dent". It will never be straight. The lamps are heavy and the rail is not sufficiently ribbed. Great concept but full of design flaws. The lamps only work in one direction and do not rotate fully, so positioning can be difficult. The track is finished on one side but not on the other. So if you make a curve, you will eventually see an unfinished side. I returned it.
