For the first six months I loved this player. Then, after playing nothing but 33 1/3 records for the first 6 months, I played a couple of 45 RPM records. After playing them, I switched back to 33 1/3 - the albums wouldn't play . I went back to the 45s, but they didn't play either (ie the turntable didn't spin). I called customer service - despite numerous attempts, I got a call to voicemail right away. I left a message but they didn't call back. I finally got an email that they would send out a replacement within a month once I sent the unit back at my own expense (not cheap). Oddly enough, the outgoing message on the support phone is ALWAYS "We're getting more than usual ringer volume." Then they do whatever they can to get you to go to the website (because they just don't want to talk to you on the phone). If you look at other vintage turntables from other vendors, you will find similar stories. . Unfortunately, I believe that since turntables are no longer mass-produced like they were 40 or 50 years ago, there simply isn't the experience to build quality turntables. As such, you will find comments like mine among the many Revain reviews for turntables distributed by various manufacturers. When I was a kid, the turntable could go on forever - the turntable never stopped spinning. Unfortunately, in 2018, the same thoroughness in the production of such devices is simply not there - most likely because the demand for them is very niche and low. Very sad for those of us who still love vinyl. However, I would be more understanding if the customer service was better. Unfortunately, these companies will sell you the turntable and then cross their fingers in the hope that everything will work smoothly until the warranty expires. If it doesn't, they make you as inconvenient as possible to return it, hoping you'll just give up. With that in mind, I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying a turntable like this because I understand how much people like us love old records. Be aware that customer service is critical in these companies because, as my dad used to say, "they just don't make them the way they used to be."
