Review on πŸ₯€ Versatile 68 Ounces Glass Pitcher: Ideal Hot/Cold Water Carafe, Juice Jar, and Iced Tea Pitcher with Lid by Christine Sandoval

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far, so good! - kitchen and dining room

I really like this jug, it's perfect for our family, 2 litres. Some who have reviewed this jug have spoken about the smell from the rubber seal in the lid. I hope all you really need to do is clean it between new batches of liquid (ice tea in my case). I gave it four stars because the lid has 3 parts: a metal spout, a gasket that holds the spout to the jug, and a metal cap that fits into the spout and regulates the flow of liquid in the jug. The metal lid is awkward to put on and cannot block all liquids (making it airtight). I also think it would be better if the spout was part of the jug and had a sealed lid built in. With the current design, it would be nice to have a lip or handle on the lid for easier positioning and placement. Some thought it was brittle, but since it's made of borosilicate glass (which is also used to make test tubes and beakers), it should be fairly strong and temperature resistant. That being said, if you have quartz or granite countertops and aren't careful, this pitcher is likely to lose every time (I won't test that theory!).

Pros
  • Lead-free borosilicate glass. Size: 4.3 x 4.3 x 10.6 (H) inches, 68 ounces (2 liters) large volume, enough to serve your family or entertain your guests.
Cons
  • A few little things
