I really like the look of this biorb tank! The tank arrived in perfect condition as promised, no scratches or damage, all parts in perfect condition and clear installation instructions. Decided to switch to a different medium and set it up as stated by The PondGuru on Youtube to reduce the cost of changing filters and the aquarium worked fine with no algae growth. However, in what is essentially a 4 gallon tank, I have live plants including marimo balls, betta fish, and corey catfish, which is a pretty significant bioburden for this small tank. When I added my chola wood to give my betta a place to rest and maintain the pH I was struggling to balance, my marimo balls, 2 fish and an artificial plant to close the bubble tube , this tank is almost too full. If I add another aquarium, I'll likely upgrade to another 16 gallon biorb to minimize routine maintenance and give more space for my fish. The shape of the aquarium really allows you to see the contents and observe the activity of the fish, which is impressive! It also makes cleaning difficult due to the small top opening, but not impossible and worth the trade-off. Highly recommend these unique Biorb aquariums, but consider making your life easier and upgrading to a larger size to maintain water quality for your aquatic animals.
