The CVM-VS07 is really great and portable which is my favorite. I can put it in my backpack, camera bag, fanny pack, etc. and take it out when I need it. The fact that it doesn't need a battery is also good, but that and the small form factor naturally also limit the performance. For the price I think it's a great job, if you really want something better you'll have to pay a lot more and have something a lot more intrusive on your device, be it your smartphone or camera. I wasn't a big fan of using it on my phone, it seemed to have connection issues or was difficult to hold because I was having a hard time holding my hand. But it worked very well on my camera and laptop.
