and they recommended a Feliway diffuser

I have a 5 month old kitten who is in heat and is starting to mark all over. I fixed it but it kept marking. I locked her in the bathroom and she stopped having problems and started using the litter box, but when I let her out with other cats she started up again. I asked the vet what to do and he recommended a Feliway diffuser so I got that and one of those collars. Based on some reviews of cats who got stuck in these collars, I also bought a breakaway collar, cut that collar in half for stress relief (bonus, two collars for the price of one), and attached the collar piece to the breakaway collar with tiny zip ties. Between that collar and the diffuser, we're currently uneventful! I hope we stay like this!
