Wow, a strong crowd! I love how people thought they would buy a big motorcycle harness or kayak to tie down. I've been using them for over a year and they have so many uses that traditional bungees don't have. That's not to say it replaces the bungee, because sometimes you need something springy. The beauty of them is that they're surprisingly strong for their size and unlike most bungee cords, they're adjustable from 1 to 5 feet with useful holding flexibility. You can't buckle up a boat or motorbike, but you can use it very effectively to hold items in a boat or tie items to a motorbike very effectively! more expensive for the same hold-down devices.
