Review on Gates 370650 Return Hose by Randy Perry

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Hope this fixes the leak.

Don't plan on making it an easy 30 minute job like it should be. Two of us, one on the bottom and one on top, bent it half a dozen times to get it right and even when it looked dead it still didn't catch, taking over an hour to finally get it to screw up, the brackets will all need some more force to straighten them out. The best way to install is to remove the motor so you can freely manipulate it as needed, or a transfer line, 5 hose clamps (one for the return line, 2 on each end to ensure proper attachment and sealing at each end of the line) and after the first stretch of a straight line after the threaded end on the gearbox, cut it off so you can line it up as needed and nothing on the passenger side of the line will prevent you from rotating as needed. If I had known there was going to be a headache I would have just taken an old pipe from a junkyard (for me I have a couple of old Fords to choose from) and cut the end off as mine was leaking in the transmission, but unfortunately I have decided to replace the whole line.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
