Hide it in your jeep!

I installed it in the dashboard of my Jeep Wrangler JK. It hides perfectly behind/under the glove box. I have a non-original stereo system (Alpine iLX-W650) and I replaced the 1 ohm dual voice coil (DVC) subwoofer that comes with Alpine's factory "premium" audio system with a 2 ohm flat mount DVC subwoofer (Pioneer TS) replaced. -SW2002D2) which has much better clarity and response. This amp puts some much-needed power back to the subwoofer, as I've halved it by doubling the voice coil impedance. For reference, the power cord pigtail is only 14 gauge wire. Because it was mounted so close to the battery, I only ran 12 gauge wire to the battery. Simply cut the built-in pigtail fuse and reconnect a 12-gauge fuse about 2.5 feet long to the nearest battery. Works great without purchasing a special "amplifier wiring kit" and without the unnecessary giant 4 gauge wire. I then ran new, dedicated speaker wire back to the subwoofer and connected the voice coils in series (i.e. 4 ohms). 200 watts into 4 ohms is enough to drive an 8" subwoofer. I only run it at about 60% gain for the balance I prefer.
