The first thing that struck me when I opened the box was that they made it out of 4 different colors of plastic instead of going the cheaper route and to paint the colors then put them together. This means there is no lacquer to scratch and spoil the look over time. Great design solution. The next thing I noticed were the mounting points - they featured brass nuts pressed or cast in black plastic on the back. (Again, they could be cheaper and cut directly into the plastic, which would fail in a short time. So it's another good design choice.) So far I've decided to mount it on my 4Runner's grille as intended. (only had to insert 2 clips to get there) although I think I might move it to a roof rack later. The installation took about 5 minutes with the hardware switched on. No instructions were given but you can understand that. The included threaded rods came in and the connection seemed pretty solid, but since you can't apply a lot of torque to this setup I would suggest applying some blue Loctite/threadlock during installation to resist loosening of the connection over time impede. Overall, it seems like a decent quality product for what it is, and it's a quick way to jazz up your car and call attention to Toyota's racing heritage. (Full Disclosure - I was offered this product in exchange for a review, but this is my honest opinion)
