Firstly, the case casting looks of good quality - formed from fine sand, not the coarse sand used to make cheap pumps. It's cast iron, not aluminum. It spins and runs quietly. What else can I say? Only time will determine its durability. Glad I bought this instead of the cheaper Delco which is listed at a third of the price. I learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for. Considering the time it takes to replace the pump, I want it to last a long time and not need to be replaced anytime soon. By the way, the original factory Delco has over 150,000 miles on it. This one appears to be identical.
