I originally bought these remote control covers to keep the battery compartment closed (or to prevent them from accidentally opening) and they do a great job. I chose these glow-dark just to have two more colors so that all my remotes are different colors for different firesticks, not for the glow-in-the-dark function itself. However, I put them in the bedrooms, to find the remote controls in the dark. I have to say that in terms of glow in the dark they don't perform very well unless you do a lot of direct light just before you turn off the light. Since they don't seem to work as well as my kids glow in the dark stars, they barely work in what I would call a 'normal' light app right before bed. For this reason I only give 4 stars.
