The ammonia level in our aquarium continued to rise despite water changes and inoculation with nitrate-reducing bacteria. All that ammonia was causing heavy algal blooms. We then had some milky water after adding bacteria due to bacterial blooms. It was terrible. I did another 30% water change and prepared the pool with Fritz and also prepared the new water. The next day it got significantly better. The next day I treated again. I continued to treat a little each day until the level eventually returned to normal. Non-toxic to fish and crustaceans. Many other treatments can kill our blue lobster but this one is safe. Our water is finally clear. Now I treat the aquarium once a week to control the ammonia levels. A bottle will probably last me a year because it only takes a few ml for the treatment.
