Review on ๐Ÿšด Enhance Your Cycling Performance with Garmin Cadence Sensor 2 โ€“ Your Ultimate Pedaling Cadence Monitor by Fredrick Edwards

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The easiest to install cadence sensor. Light.

This is a review of the Garmin Bike Cadence 2 cadence sensor. Installing my previous cadence sensor was a real problem. Nylon zip ties were required to hold the magnet to the crank and then the pickup/transmitter sensor had to be attached to the chainstay and positioned exactly for it to work. It was easy to hit and take him out of position. i hated it This Garmin Cadence 2 sensor eliminates all that crap. Now all you have to do is simply attach the sensor to the crank with one of the 3 rubber bands of different sizes and connect it to your bike computer. That's all. There is nothing easier. The sensor is small and light. It uses a conventional CR2032 battery that requires no tools to be replaced. Simply use your finger to rotate the battery cover to the open position and the cover is removed for easy battery replacement. My only concern about sensor performance with my Garmin Edge 500 is that the latency is around 5 seconds. When I stop pedaling, it takes about 5 seconds for the cadence to show "0" on my Edge 500. Likewise, any sudden change in cadence will not be reflected in the Edge 500 for 5 seconds. It doesn't necessarily matter if you understand that there is a delay. I suspect the delay is necessary because the computer needs several revolutions of the crank before it can calculate the RPM. It is great. I can't believe how clunky the old cadence sensor is compared to this one.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Protection
