Review on Garmin nüvi 2495LMT GPS Navigator: Portable 4.3-Inch Bluetooth Device with Lifetime Map & Traffic Updates by Tony Ledbetter

Having had 5 different GPS units over the past few years, 3 of which are Garmin, I would go for a Garmin anytime. This is a great product. Garmin has excellent phone/tech support here in the US. Anytime I had any problems or questions, each of these support guys was knowledgeable, very familiar with the product, spoke clearly and we had no communication problems between us. (This is very important to me, I've had other brands that either didn't know the product or we had trouble understanding each other and just general communication). Now Garmin plugs it into the car's power outlet. Unlike the 765T I had before, when you plugged the GPS into the car mount, the power came through the mount connector. Very convenient, easy and you can do it with one hand. With newer connections, you need to hold the GPS and then plug in the mini-USB cable on the back before you can attach it to the car mount. Not only is it awkward and certainly not easy or convenient, but it also requires two hands when leaning from your seat to where the power cord/mount is. However, this is probably the path they are all taking now. (A pity actually - Garmin had a good thing). This device finds the places, businesses, and regions I'm looking for with amazing results. Compared to my previous models everywhere I look - say the JC Penney store. I used to have a 50/50 chance of finding it. Here I type Penney into the name search - bam, it shows up JC Penney wherever they are. I was really impressed with the search results. I certainly don't use the routing function fully. But when you use it, it's very easy to "move" the stop or place you want to rearrange by touching and holding the stop and moving it with your finger to the place, you want to place, and then tap Done. Wow. Great job Garmin. Having not tried any of the other new Garmin units I can only recommend the one I have, the 2495LMT. Or at least recommend Garmin in general. And my Revain purchase rating: perfect again! Thanks Revin They have always delivered my purchases on time, always well packaged and protected. We haven't even seriously considered going anywhere else.
