My first purchase is defective. It cannot receive a tune in the FM/NOAA range, and the device itself does not run on AAA batteries. Luckily Revain sent me a new device two days later and this time it worked as expected. During my night shifts, I listen to music, local news, and the weather. The small solar panel, the handle on the back, and two 5VDC ports worked great, as evidenced by the solid red charge/power light. AAA batteries can also be used if desired. Its LED flashlight is a great feature and puts out a good amount of light. Despite the initial hiccups, I still recommend this product to anyone looking for a versatile, lightweight, and portable radio.
