Review on ☕ KRUPS EC322 14-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Professional Permanent Gold-Tone Filter, Thermobrew Technology - Black by Heather Schmidt

Update: It has been 5 months since I received this coffee maker. We only use it once a day. The processor that controls the device is no longer running. The beeps will sound one minute after the brewing process has started. If you wait, you will eventually see your coffee, but it will take much longer than it did before the faulty chip failed. We expect more from the name Krups. At this point we're going back to instant coffee until we see a higher quality coffee maker that's built to last. Original Review: I chose to write my review now rather than in a few weeks so I can comment on the heat retention issue that some reviewers have reported. I've already cooked three pots; one just water and then 12 and 6 cups of coffee. I used to use Krups and admired German engineering. So far I'm very impressed with the price I've paid. We have previously thrown out two cheaper Hamilton Beach coffee makers because they leaked (poor design). This Krups is more aesthetically designed and fun to watch the brewing process. Here's a tip: once you press the brew button, don't touch the buttons until the brew and reheat cycle is complete (4 hours by default) *unless you really want to pause the entire cycle. If you play around with the keep warm button after the brewing process has started, the keep warm function will be disabled until the machine is cycled off and on again. There are a few things I'd like to experiment with, but I'm sure the machine will work and the keep warm function will work too. I'll update this review in the future if the car lets us down, but for now I'm optimistic.
