Bought 4 for a Navigator of the Seas cruise. They worked really well and kept our group connected. They also worked great from ship to island when we were on the upper deck or in a windjammer. Because of their compact size and light weight, we were able to attach them to our lines, which proved particularly useful as the ship is noisy and noisy. Some of the calls would have been missed if the walkie-talkie got stuck in the trash or in a bag. Actually there is nothing bad to say about it. Surprisingly positive that one of the walkie talkies dipped into the pool and worked perfectly. Based on the literature they aren't waterproof so I'm guessing the key was getting them out quickly. Also, it rained on the walkie-talkie and had other splashes here and there, and I suspect the dust-proof part helped protect them from splashes. I should also mention that on the previous cruise we didn't have walkie talkies and wasted too much time. spend a lot of time tracking down each other.
