Review on SimpliFrame Easy-to-Use Column Enclosure for Enhanced SEO by Isaac Simpson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent product, a few tips.

We had 3 pillars that we wanted to cover for our basement renovation. Thought it might be useful. First, disassembling is a pain. It took pliers to hold the handle together and then take it apart. We adjusted to our 3 1/2 inch columns but they still moved a little. Then tried to use a drywall drill. DO NOT USE! Too much force and the pieces just kept spinning around the column. We ended up using spray glue to keep the plastic from rotating. In the next column we decided to use a regular drill press and also added some masking tape to the column to try to keep the plastic from spinning and it went MUCH better. We tried to space the 4 pieces evenly on the pillar, but there are still places between them where the drywall isn't very strong, you're pressing on the drywall and there's nothing holding it straight, so it's pressing in bit through. whether a corner bead helps at all. All in all, after a few adjustments, it was quick and easy. We are handymen who have never framed or even done much drywall before this project. This product was definitely easier than trying to frame a pillar. the best video of actually using the product, not just a short snippet. I had to make one while we were doing it!
