Good idea but I ended up taking a flashlight and heating the bend where the camera attaches to create a gap between the camera and the mount. I bent it 90 degrees and repainted it. Everything seems to be working fine now. I'll do the rest the same way. The chamber had a concave shape. If it had a flat back it wouldn't be a problem, but there seem to be some brands that are shaped and require a longer bobby pin or other curve.
