Works with fountain pen ink
I tried these pens with some KWZ iron gall ink and Diamine shimmer ink. They worked pretty well, but be aware that these pens aren't as wet as fountain pens, so the ink comes out a little lighter. Since they are fairly dry, they don't show any sheen, but feathering still works quite well. The sparks in Diamine's enchanted ocean were still there, but not as concentrated as in a fountain pen. All in all, a fun way to use up some ink. It takes about 2-3ml of ink to refill a pen.
