I have several portable and underpowered compressors that have pressure shut off built in. But my ARB twin doesn't. I have to sit there and hold the inflator until it reaches the PSI I'm looking for. So it sounded like something I could use off-road. There wasn't much in the description but I found a similar product with more information. First to the main thing. This thing is massive. It outshines my standard inflator and even my big one. The display is easy to read. The button size is even suitable for gloves. It also takes a whopping 7 AA batteries compared to 2 for other digital inflators. Although it came with a connecting hose and strong cartridge, there was no compressor hose coupler. I also plan to install a detachable connecting hose. It's quite large and bulky when it comes out at the top. I decided to deflate my 26x4 tire from 30 to the preset 15 and somehow it deflated completely. This caused an error that made no sense. ***The second problem I had was that it couldn't start from zero PSI. It has an autostart sensor that detects when you insert a cartridge. There is no manual launch control. Therefore, it takes pressure to know when to inflate. So I had to pump up a few pounds of pressure with a standard pump before trying again. *** TO UPDATE. RTM. heh There are a number of buttons for manual inflation. Other than that, it worked great after launch. My tires were up in no time. *** For the third edition. When I was done there was no pressure relief in the inflator so I had to open the condensate valve on the tank. There was no way to depressurize the tank with a switch. *** Return to manual inflation. There was also a quality control issue. A small piece of paper was caught between the LCD and the transparent cover. In general, while it works, it's not without problems. ***Once they fixed them*** this is a real winner. RTMUpdate: One of the differences I see is that this one is not rechargeable. And I also noticed that the top port is not a standard NPT. So I can't use the quick connect.
