ApplianPar 8194001 did not work well with my Kenmore Elite 665.13153K701. I have replaced "door handle/balance" parts before and each part (original and replaced) has lasted about 6 years. Installation #1 with ApplianPar 8194001 was successful. Shortly after installation, the door "moaned" or made loud "spring" noises each time it was opened. So I took out the dishwasher for the second time. For setup #2, after trying many options, I disassembled the plastic roller guide assemblies and lubricated the hubs. This completely solved the noise problem... and made the door easier to work with. After three months there was a roar, and the "round plastic hinge” assembly flew into the kitchen, and the door no longer had a counterweight (it was heavy). I was just as surprised that the piece found its way into the kitchen as it's not that easy to get through the small gaps between the dishwasher and the cupboard! … So I got out the dishwasher for the third time. The right balancer has lost its "round plastic loop". The thread didn't snap... it broke out of the loop. In general, replacing this part is not difficult, but doing it three times in three months is unacceptable. This part did not work well with my Kenmore Elite 665.13153K701. The attached picture 1) shows a 'rope' 'door handle/balance' with 'round plastic loop' 'removed' 2) shows 'bad' and 'good' door handle/balance rope" assembly.
