These oversized jackets may or may not work. Too big and it might look like you stole a tall man's coat or put on a robe outside. Too small and it looks like you don't know how to buy clothes that fit. I received XL and it fits true to size. It's actually loose enough that I could wear it over the fitted hoodie I was wearing (with a t-shirt underneath) without being too bulky. I'm deducting a point because it had a lot of threads sticking out. a seam that I have to trim and it's pretty flimsy. It's something of an insulated fall/winter coat for California, so it really won't stand up to the cold weather. I wasn't too concerned about the weight because I live in California and prefer lighter coats, but I didn't like the cheapness of the material. I'm also not sure how tightly these buttons are sewn on. I would be careful doing them up and down.
