I bought this hoping as the picture advertises I could read a book about it. I placed the book on the central platform. The weight of the book is about 5 kg. The central platform immediately broke along the entire length of the board. I work as an engineer, dealing with solid mechanics, where I test materials. I am appalled that this product has not been tested and rated to support the weight of a book. On average, a book weighs between 1 and 5 pounds depending on the size and cover of the book. One of the first thoughts when designing this product was to see if the structure would withstand the extra force created by the weight of items to be placed on top, such as books, but this was obviously not considered. This platform absolutely could not bear the weight of all the products advertised. I am very thankful that I tested it on the table first before the tray with my books and food broke over the tub.
