The fuses in this kit have been specifically designed to provide a very specific low voltage drop proportional to the current flowing in the meter's current sensing loop. They are not like a regular fuse. You will find that the voltmeter and ohmmeter functions work even with the fuses removed. There's a reason they're not marked as generic; A regular 10 amp fuse is NOT the same.
