Review on πŸ§” Philips Norelco Travel Men's Shaver: Close-Cut Technology, Floating Heads, Self-Sharpening Blades, Portable Design, 2 x AA Batteries Included by Claudia Muhammadi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good shaver for travel, backup, battery life.

This razor takes up about half the space in my travel bag as my full size Norelco. Weight: 4.8 ounces with alkaline batteries installed versus 6.7 ounces for a full-size shaver. I shaved with it for a week as a test: it's just a little slower, feels a little less comfortable in the hand and gives a slightly less comfortable shave than a large size. Shaving accuracy: about the same. Despite being small and light, it doesn't look or feel cheap or toy. After seven shaves, the included alkaline batteries were still charged. According to the instructions, only alkaline batteries should be used. , no batteries but I tested it with a high capacity NiMH and a low self-discharge NiMH Eneloop and both trotted like alkaline. I did not do an extended test. It cannot be washed like regular Norelco razors. The instructions call for brushing it daily and taking the knives apart for a thorough cleaning every two months. (This is an occasional travel razor, so I interpret this as every 60 uses, not 6 times a year.) A small brush and head guard are included, but no sheath or pouch.
