Great budget/entry-level watch. May have a short lifespan

FIX #3: Sometimes mine won't turn on even after charging. But after inserting the charge, the screen turns on and everything works fine again. However, my wife's clock will no longer turn on. But mine still works. Seven months lifespan for a $40 watch. Fur. 50% chance to die after a while. It was a 4 star rating downgraded to three. UPDATE #2: I took a closer look at this watch's settings and it's great that I can turn off notifications for specific hours. I turned it off during normal sleep times and now it doesn't wake me up during WhatsApp backup at 4am. Additionally, you can turn off the "Quick Look" setting on the watch at specific times to turn off the bedroom while you sleep, which still saves battery life and won't bother your spouse either. UPDATE #1: After about three weeks of use. Here are a few more notes. If you are using it as a music player controller, do not press the main button after using it: this will automatically return it to the main screen. Just leave it alone after pausing/skipping a song and it'll be in the same mode if you need to skip a song again. The same goes for any other usage mode: it stays in the same mode it was last used in when you look at the watch again, provided you don't press the side button while using it. Battery life: I typically get around 8.5 days of battery life. Live, he usually dies for me in the middle of the morning on the 9th day. My wife works much longer without charging, about 2 weeks. As for battery life, for some reason my watch decided to notify me when WhatsApp is checking for new messages and also when messages are backed up at 4am. I can't find a way to disable these special notifications. This disturbs my sleep and is probably due to the shorter battery life, as it vibrates for a good 20 seconds while WhatsApp is backing up. It's not the same with my wife, maybe because she has an iPhone. First impression: great watch! Looks stylish. I have a few watches but this is my first smartwatch. They are very light compared to my Citizen watches. Feels good, I like the silicone strap a lot more than I thought. Cozy. The good thing is that it uses a standard size strap so you can easily replace it. I ordered it just before receiving the watch and should have it with me soon. When I first looked at the smartwatch I didn't like the square look, I like the traditional round face so I liked this watch. Also, many models last a day or two on a single charge, which was a shutdown (pun intended). I have many mechanical or eco-drive watches that virtually eliminate the need for a battery, and I hate having to charge another device. However, I like the battery life. Received it on Monday and charged it for an hour which gave it an 85% charge which lasted until Sunday evening. Not bad. One downside is the display: it's bright and only legible in daylight. It's not bad at all for a $40 watch, but it's not an AMOLED where someone could mistake it for a real watch. It doesn't have a permanent feature, but that's probably why it offers long battery life. I did a lot of research and this is the only budget model that easily accesses dozens of watch faces. Most other models only have 4 to choose from. So, disclaimer, the watch only has storage for 4 watch faces: the floral watch face, which turns out to be a custom watch face that you upload your own image to, there are two digital watch faces, and a fourth slot for one that you can use via the app switch off. You cannot save them to the watch. Awkward, but understandable for the price. I would like to change the order in which each function appears in the clock menu that scrolls down. I often use this at work to skip songs, but this menu is at the bottom. I also wish the music player menu would tell you the artist/title. All in all, get this if you're unsure if you want a smartwatch. It's budget-friendly and has all the features you need.
