Okay, here's the thing: when it works, it looks good. . The light ring has multiple settings; off, dark, medium, light. I've found a medium option that works for me, but I can certainly think of a use case for each of the options. I'm happy with that. The autofocus works well and I haven't had to mess with it yet. There are times when it slips, but only for a split second (e.g. when someone enters the field of view and approaches from the background) and it corrects itself. I would rate this feature 4 out of 5 . Now for ease of use. Here the camera falls. When plugged into any USB port, it does not wake up with the computer from sleep mode. You have to unplug it, wait a second and then plug it back in (sometimes it doesn't help right away and you have to do it again). It's frustrating. It also seems to have a crazy bandwidth requirement because it doesn't work well with a USB 2.0 port, I have to use a 3.0+ port. Using the 2.0 port, the video was a choppy slideshow and never caught up in sync. Switching to port 3.0 fixed this problem. If you only have USB 2.0 ports, skip this camera. If your ports aren't easily accessible for disconnecting and reconnecting, skip this camera. If you don't mind plugging it in when you need it, prepare plenty of easily accessible USB 3.0+ ports and look for good picture quality. at a good price, then this could be your offer. Overall 4/5. Would probably buy again but would strongly recommend the seller/manufacturer to address the issue of waking from sleep.
