Review on Hunter 51010 Southern Fan Bleached by Tina Hall

I would give this fan a 5 if the lighting kit wasn't defective to begin with. About a minute after I turned on the light and fan after the installation was complete, a few sparks flew out of the fan case and all the lights went out. I called Hunter and they quickly sent me a replacement lighting unit. It was easy to remove the broken one and install the new one. After that it worked great. The fan is very quiet and provides a decent cooling effect in our modest guest room. Let's hope Hunter fixed the problem with the broken light kits on later production units of this model.
