Review on Dorman 935-102 Driveshaft Coupler: Efficient and Durable Black Coupling Component by Brad Blake

Good product good price

After buying a second device I feel the need to seriously revise my review. I previously gave a 4 star review. The first Dorman replacement I bought lasted just under 4 months and replaced a non-Dorman disc that lasted just over a year. The problem could be related to an incorrect installation (there is a specific orientation this drive must be installed in) but this Dorman branded replacement does NOT have arrows indicating which direction it should be installed. I compared it to pictures of the correct replacement drive and used that information to install it correctly with no guarantees that it should actually work. When it failed it also broke down such that the transmission side bolts touched the driveshaft flange damaging both the bolts and flanges and showing me that any internal structure the product should have is inadequate by comparison the OEM equivalent. The only saving grace of this drive is that it contains hardware I didn't previously have in a non-Dorman replacement. While socket head cap screws offer a slightly easier replacement, they are not flanged and may not meet specifications for this application.
