Disappointed - didn't last two months

I bought this and within 2 months the cap on the bolt/nut mount fell off and it looked like crap. A few weeks later, before I could replace the cap, I went to the car wash and the whole arm broke off. I've never used that thing. Couldn't he just sit and "look" functional?
