update 3-4 weeks: lightbar turns off randomly now. It can last 20 seconds after turning on, 2 hours, or it can run all day without any problems. For no apparent reason. Tried other power cords, tried 1A and 2A wall chargers instead of the monitor's USB port. No dice, still randomly separated. Other reviewers who I assumed were just having issues with the monitor's dormant USB ports turned out to be misjudgments on my part. ----------- -- -------------------------------------- ------------------- --- It hangs and sticks to the various monitors I've tested it on, from old CRTs to center CCFL backlit LCDs of the 2000s to modern thin LED-LCDs. The light is very bright and very even with no hot spots on the table. Convenient for reading. The three color tempi are a nice touch (I mostly use warm 3000k). The dimmer and USB-C performance are great. that they have USB power saving features on their monitor to which they are connected via a USB cable. I want it to be remembered.
