Review on πŸ”Œ Marchpower Lightning Charger for Android - Multiple Certifications by Angelo Forrest

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works with iPhone 6S and CarPlay in 2016. Pilot

I was looking for a charging cable with Lightning and Android tips that works with CarPlay in my car. I spent 3 days researching this on Revain as I don't have an Apple Store or major electronics store near my location. I bought an Android CarPlay dongle for my Pilot to use CarPlay because this year's Pilot head unit doesn't support CarPlay. I wanted the iPhone to be able to charge while using CarPlay as my other cables I had on hand wouldn't allow charging the iPhone while connected to CarPlay. 2 in 1 Marchpower 5FT Lightning & Micro 8 Pin USB Cable for iPhone iPad Samsung Kindle (Silver Black) and decided to give it a try. I assume they are MFi certified (the product name says certification) but there was nothing in the description to indicate MFi certification. The reason for buying Micro USB to Lightning cables is because I have an iPhone battery case that uses a Micro USB tip and I can also take the iPhone out of the battery case and use the Lightning tip use and then replace it. must be checked. I received them yesterday, plugged in the USB CarPlay dongle and tested both tips on the iPhone. Launching CarPlay got the iPhone connected and charging, and I tested both tips to make sure they both work. Both tips charged the phone when connected to CarPlay. (NOTE: When you switch to Waze and Google Maps in CarPlay, the phone seems to stop charging but still connects to CarPlay for other purposes, music playback, etc.). So far so. good! I love the feel and durability of the cables, also the silver plated cables match my pilot's interior more than the bright colors of other cables I've used. Cloth cables are much better than plastic-coated cables. I hope these cables last a long time; They are not abused in the car, but plugged in daily to charge and use CarPlay. I sincerely hope these cables will last a long time! If I encounter any issues I will update and revise my review.
