nope I wasn't too lazy and bought a vacuum sealer.
This is not it. The pouches sealed well the first time, they were difficult to seal, but once I got them there they worked decently. The second time they were used, the seal didn't hold. I wanted them for sous vide. They just couldn't take it. I went and bought a vacuum sealer for $40. should have done it first.
- Vacuum bags are not recommended for storing sharp-edged foods such as bones or foods with a large amount of water or powder (e.g. flour) if the air valve is damaged.
- Doubtful purchase for the elderly
