This ceiling medallion adds just the right amount of detail to jazz up a plain ceiling in my boy's room. It's the perfect size to highlight the drum light, which we also bought here on Amazon. The light we combined with this obscures the detail of the inner circle, but I still like how the exterior adds some interest without being overly detailed or looking out of place. It was easy and simple to install. We just hung it there for now without even nailing it. Voltage from the fixture keeps it in place. I then puttyed the edges to make sure there weren't any gaps because our old house isn't flat so the caulk helps hide that and also holds it in place a bit. All in all, this is an inexpensive and subtle way to make a room look great! I hope these little details help take the focus off our very uneven windows and walls lol ;)
