If you need to grind medium to large quantities then this grinder will do the trick. If you want to cut a small amount, open and move the partially cut product to the center, then put on the lid and motor head, then grind again for a few seconds and repeat this process to obtain a certain degree of grinding reach chopped product. Some product reduction can only be achieved if a large amount of product is used to prevent product from sticking to the sides. The problem may lie in the angle of the blades. If the blades were lower and the blades moved the product down, this would cause any product stuck to the sides to rise up and then fall back into the middle. Can't say I'll be using it often as most of my grinding is for small batches.
