Tea bags are good enough to brew loose tea in and then simply turn them over to rinse out afterwards. However, the tip is just a loose thread that can be accidentally torn out if you're not careful, and there are loose threads that need to be pulled off before first use. I think they are good for the price but next time I might try to find purer tea bags as I use them as an accompaniment to the tea I sell.
