My husband is bedridden I was looking for bowls that are lightweight, durable and easy to clean. This is the prefect. That made it much easier for him to eat. These bowls are not painted. I kept spaghetti sauce in it in the fridge for over 24 hours. It is enough to wipe with a soapy sponge and they will look like new, and they will also wash perfectly in the dishwasher. I'm ordering another set because I use them to store things I've cooked while cooking. I wipe with a soapy sponge and they look brand new.
