I got tired of buying $20 hair cutting kits that lasted a year and decided on a "good" set. When they arrived all the blades were covered in black sand. Both clippers. I cleaned and oiled them with a small brush, but the large clipper blade barely vibrated, so it wouldn't cut the hair. The smaller set worked well. They seem strong and durable but the plastic has sharp edges which I wasn't expecting after paying four times my usual price for a clipper that has worked great for at least a year and feels the same and has a better shape.
