Adidas can sometimes be bad and sometimes the size of these is bad! He is an average size 8 1/2 years old and I ordered him an average size 10/12 or 12 - I just forgot, I know he needed some room to grow for the next size up, so I placed medium or 10/12. They are very good because of the elastic waist - it has a skinny drop with a 6 pack start so they are very skinny if you are wondering for your child.
