I bought this after my husband had a stroke to help him get in and out of our pontoon. Believe it or not, it works great. The rubber feet were sucked into the mud and I only found three of them, but this stool has a handle and it's exactly the same one we used in the hospital for people to get up and get off the x-ray table. When we beach the pontoon boat, my husband uses it to dismount and return to the boat without assistance. Without this he has to try to sit on deck without falling to get off and when he gets up again he has to sit down and then roll onto all fours and try to get back on his feet without falling. The stool gave him back a piece of independence.
