We keep this bike outdoors year round here in Boston. There were serious problems with the original rear brake cable, which gradually lost mobility. This cable was the perfect replacement. The "protrusion" on one end fits snugly into the handbrake lever. We trimmed the other end so that the cord was about a foot longer than seemed necessary. We found a YouTube video and followed the instructions. It worked great. Now the critical rear brake feels like new. I was surprised it was that easy. My only wish was that the product would lead us to a specific video. No big deal as there are millions of bike videos out there.
